The Dark Knight

I've watched 'The Dark Knight' a few times this week. It premiered last week on Sky movies and is frankly better viewing than anything else thats was on TV. I've built numerous versions of the Batmobile since Pauline gave me the Art of Batman Begins book for my birthday in 06. As always part availability determines accuracy, but i'm quite happy with the look of this one if not quite the accuracy.

I dont have back wheels that are quite right but cant quite justify the spend on bricklink to get the perfect ones!

Watching the movie again its the quieter things again that I find so impressive. Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Christain Bale are all superb, but I've always been impressed with Aaron Eckhart and his Harvey Dent is absolutely perfect. Heath gets the showy role and does a beautiful job with it, but its his quieter moments that are actually the most impressive.
I do hope the same team does another movie, but have no idea where they could take it. I cant see characters like the Riddler, Penguin or Catwoman working in the Nolan universe (And certainly not Freeze or Killer Croc or Mad Hatter). A lot of other villains already featured in the first movie, but the tone has to work again, especially with Batman now on the run. If Gary Oldman's right we'll see it sometime in 2011......
I feel like turning the vehicle into a diorama (S)laughter is the best medicine.... perhaps
