Wall-E

2 things most of the family love are Disney and Lego. Libby and I watched Wall-E on DVD the other day. I had seen on Brickshelf a very clever model of Wall-e made almost entirely from set 8259 by Brickshelf user RMing. I was kindly acquired the set when out on a shopping and created a replica.

But I wasnt happy with some of the aspects of it and decided to alter it a little.

The most important aspects of the character to me are his eyes and his hands - He had to have the big eyes and he had to have the ability to interlock the three fingers - once I'd achieved that I was happy.

Then Riley pointed out to me that i'd built Wall-E's Garbage crushing mechanism wrong - so it was time for a minor rebuild. The pictures above are the final model.
When it was announced that Disney and Lego had signed up to produce sets based on Toy Story part of me hoped they would go back and make a few sets based on some of the other older properties as well, not just the new ones....
Lego Incredibles? Omnidroids.... Frozone and Mr Incredible Minifigs.
Atlantis:The Lost Empire Vehicles
But I can see myself trying to pick up a few Toy Story Minifigs... I'm hoping for a magnet Set!

Nice! Hope you're gonna be here regularly - I really enjoyed that. I caught these the other day on "recents" on Brickshelf, cool build.
Not sure about Disney... Buzz looks pretty good, but is it Lego?
